LGBTQIA+ Dedicated Line

At AccessEAP we are aware of some of the challenges you may experience as a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Our counsellors will approach all and any experiences that you wish to discuss with respect, compassion, and acceptance. We believe that everyone has a right to feel safe and understood, regardless of sexual or gender identity. We also understand that many of the concerns that LGBTQIA+ employees bring to counselling are common to all people and are not related in any way to their sexual or gender identity. However, our counsellors are also sensitive to and continue to learn about, some of the unique challenges you may face as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

If you have any counselling preferences, e.g. a counsellor who specialises in sexual or gender identity issues or is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, please make sure you mention this when registering for your initial appointment. This will help us to link you with a suitable counsellor.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Dedicated Line

AccessEAP recognises the significance of providing culturally sensitive counselling to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the workplace. Co-operation is part of our way of working together to provide culturally appropriate support, sharing knowledge in a respectful, confidential and safe space.

AccessEAP provides culturally sensitive counsellors who have experience working collaboratively with Aboriginal communities, organisations, families, and individuals in varying capacities. We understand that working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people includes working with the individual, family and community. In this sense Western counselling methods may not always be suitable. Our counsellors understand that the individual is connected to their community and to country and value the importance of this relationship along with listening and hearing as we work together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
