The Excellence in Business Award recognises a business with 20 or more full time employees that has attained significant growth and is able to demonstrate the specific strategies and processes implemented to achieve profitable and sustainable growth in the previous 24 months.
This award category has been introduced in 2014 to the business awards program.
WINNER: AccessEAP, Sydney
AccessEAP is an Australian owned not for profit Employee Assistance Programs provider, with a focus on improving mental health and well-being in the workplace. With the business‟ redesign two years ago to a customer-centric approach, AccessEAP has experienced revenue growth of 51 per cent. This has meant the business has increased donations to its Curran Access Children‟s Foundation, supporting children‟s welfare programs and indigenous children at risk, by $60,000. AccessEAP has also seen an increase of 350 organisational customers since 2012. It holds a 99% customer retention rate, with 97% stating they would recommend AccessEAP in the future.
“Winning this award recognises the work our employees do and that it has contributed to this achievement. This will increase the awareness of positive workplace mental health and generate interest in the business community in what can be done to provide employees a psychologically safe environment in which to work”, said Andrew Eadie from AccessEAP.
